Zari Hassan

Zari Hassan, known as "The Boss Lady," is a Ugandan musician and entrepreneur based in South Africa. Her rich heritage spans India, Uganda, Somalia, and Burundi. Growing up in Uganda, Zari discovered her passion for performance through school concerts and community events. She honed her skills in dance, drama, and music, even winning best actress awards.

After pursuing cosmetology in London, Zari returned to her musical roots. Supported by her loved ones, she released her debut single, "Oliwange," which earned a nomination for Best East African Video of the Year at the Channel O Music Video Awards. This marked the beginning of a prolific music career, with Zari consistently releasing engaging tracks that resonate with her fans. She has since been recognized with awards, including the Diva Awards for her contributions in the Diaspora.

Beyond her music, Zari is a successful businesswoman. She owns a tertiary college and a cosmetics shop in Pretoria, South Africa. She is also a devoted mother to her sons.
