Afrigo Band

Afrigo Band was formed by eight musicians in Uganda, led by Moses Matovu, who served as band leader, vocalist, and alto saxophonist. The group has consistently performed in Uganda and tours regularly in Europe and the United States, engaging with the Ugandan diaspora. Moses Matovu has led the band since its inception. The original eight founding members were Moses Matovu, Charles Ssekyanzi, Jeff Sewava, Paddy Nsubuga, Paulo Serumagga, Fred Luyombya, Geoffrey Kizito, and Anthony Kyeyune. As of January 2015, the band had recruited replacements to maintain its lineup as members departed or passed away.
