About

Nsubuga Nelly-sade, known as St. Nellysade, discovered his passion for hip-hop during his school years. Initially forming a rap group, his dedication to the genre deepened as he honed his craft, drawing inspiration from influential artists like Nas, Scarface, and local Ugandan pioneers. Early on, he embraced rapping in English, though he later found his voice and success by embracing the local Lugaflow style.

His first major success came with the hit duet "My Lover," which resonated with radio audiences. This spurred him to actively participate in hip-hop battles and cyphers across Kampala, sharpening his freestyle skills. He became a fixture at events like Bonfire Nights, collaborating with fellow artists and youth.

Joining the Bavubuka All-Starz marked a significant step, leading to the formation of the influential "Luga flow Army." St. Nellysade established himself as a powerful voice within Uganda's hip-hop scene, creating socially resonant anthems like "K'akubiddewa."

Beyond his musical achievements, he holds a diploma in Project Planning & Management. St. Nellysade has graced numerous prestigious stages, including the Bayimba International Festival of the Arts and the Uganda Hip Hop Summit, and has performed internationally across East Africa. He has also been instrumental in various impactful projects and initiatives, fostering the growth of the hip-hop community and mentoring emerging talent. Driven by a desire to inspire positive change, St. Nellysade continues to be a leading figure in the Luga flow movement, working alongside "The Luga flow Army" and GMC Entertainment.
