Smokie Allan

Smokie Allan, born Odoch Allan Philberts, is a dynamic reggae dancehall artist hailing from Kampala, Uganda. He is celebrated for his distinctive "Luo flow," a vibrant fusion of Luo language, English, and Jamaican patois.

Emerging onto the music scene at a young age, Smokie Allan was the youngest member of the popular Northern Ugandan group Kids of Nature. His solo career took flight, quickly establishing him as a prominent artist. His debut recordings achieved widespread success, dominating FM radio waves across Uganda and beyond.

Smokie Allan has since solidified his reputation as the undisputed "Northern Uganda Dancehall King" throughout East Africa. Recognized for his consistent excellence, he has been a leading reggae artist in Northern Uganda, earning numerous accolades and a prestigious Legendary artist title. Beyond his own artistry, Smokie Allan is a dedicated mentor, having established Afterflamez Records, the first modern recording studio in Northern Uganda. This initiative has been instrumental in elevating music quality and nurturing the careers of many talented young musicians from the region.
