Shida Florence

Shida Florence is a rising solo artist blending Soul, R&B, and Afrobeat. Her musical journey began with singing in church and school choirs, eventually leading her to become a choir leader. A multi-talented musician, Shida also plays drums and the Adungu, a harp-like instrument. Her early performance experience includes a leading role in the sold-out musical production of Oliver Twist in Launceston, Tasmania. While drawing inspiration from a wide range of genres, Shida's music is deeply rooted in the rich sounds of African gospel, a reflection of her formative years spent immersed in church and choir.
