Shantal Baiby Murungi

Shantal Baiby, born Sabra Patience Murungi, is a Ugandan musician and songwriter whose lifelong passion for music began in her childhood. Her artistic journey started in high school as part of the dance group ‘The Fantasies’ before she embarked on a solo career.

Her official debut single, ‘Jangu Onkwekule,’ produced by Neat Records under the late Dennis Rackla, marked the beginning of her solo releases. She has since shared a catalog of compelling tracks including ‘Network,’ ‘Toloba,’ and ‘Ogu.’

Shantal Baiby has graced numerous events and concerts, showcasing her talents as both a dancer and a musician. Her performances at events like “The Best of Ali” and “Omwoyo Concert” highlight her versatility. A multitalented artist, she effortlessly navigates diverse genres such as Zouk, R&B, Afro Pop, Afro Beat, and Dancehall. Shantal Baiby aspires to inspire and uplift others, particularly struggling youth, through her music and philanthropic endeavors.
