About

Known locally as Mutesasira Araphat, this Muslim artist grew up in Masaka, the heart of the Buganda region. His passion for music ignited in early primary school, where he was a popular fixture in school choirs. He began composing his first songs in primary five and recorded his debut R&B track, "Tell Me," while in senior three. Initially inspired by Maurice Kirya, his musical journey took a turn towards rapping due to his innate talent as a writer and poet, drawing inspiration from G.N.L Zamba and the legendary Babaluku. His hip-hop career blossomed in senior six, heavily influenced by the Luga Flow Army, Uganda's leading hip-hop collective. He holds deep admiration for Bana Mutibwa and St. Nellysade, aspiring to collaborate with them before retiring. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education in Literature at Kampala University, he is also a poet and author of numerous literary works. He attributes his success to his faith in God and the unwavering support of his single mother. Mutesasira Araphat is currently working on his debut hip-hop album with KIR RECORDS, harboring ambitious dreams for both his music and writing careers.
