About

Saab Jay Strategy is a South Sudanese reggae musician based in Kampala, Uganda. His musical journey began as a refugee in Koboko, Uganda, where he co-founded the group Rhymerz. Alongside bandmates, he was instrumental in introducing reggae dancehall to South Sudan.

Despite early hardships, including the loss of his father, Saab Jay Strategy found solace and a path forward through music and the support of his mother. He lived in a refugee settlement for several years, later pursuing his education in Koboko.

His commitment to social change became evident when he participated in referendum campaigns, with Rhymerz producing an album focused on freedom. Saab Jay Strategy's solo career took flight with the release of his hit song "Araba Doniya," solidifying his status as a national icon.

He has since dedicated his music to raising awareness and advocating for crucial issues such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, adult education, domestic violence, peace, and love. Saab Jay Strategy envisions his music as a catalyst for positive change, striving for a future where his people live free from suffering, with children educated and embracing healthy lives filled with peace and love.

He has collaborated with numerous producers and artists across South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, and the United States, further expanding his musical reach and impact.
