Ruyonga

Ruyonga is a Ugandan-born, US-based hip hop and spoken word artist. His former moniker, "Krukid," was a high school nickname born from a basketball injury. A pioneer of Ugandan hip hop, his early group won a nationwide music competition.

Ruyonga boasts an extensive performance and recording history, including three albums released digitally and physically. He has captivated audiences across the United States, from colleges and clubs to churches and coffee shops. Rawkus Records recognized him as one of the top 50 artists online, and they helped release his second solo album, AFRiCAN.

He has collaborated with notable artists such as Brother Ali and Slug of Atmosphere, and shared stages with Lupe Fiasco, K’Naan, Wu Tang Clan, Grieves and Budo (Rhymesayers), and The Roots. Ruyonga's dynamic live performances can range from a solo DJ set to a full live band, adapting to the scale of each event. He maintains a strong online presence across major social media platforms.
