Roger Kent's musical journey began in the school choir, a place where his talent quickly became apparent. Driven by an insatiable passion, he often found himself drawn to the studio, sometimes even at the expense of his schooling. These early escapades led to his first taste of musical heartbreak when he was rejected from a major talent search simply for being a high school student. He also recounts a humorous encounter with a prominent record label, where he was unceremoniously told they didn't sign high school artists.

Despite these setbacks, his high school years also brought triumphs, including winning a singing competition. After graduation, Roger Kent fully immersed himself in the music industry, joining Roy Studios to hone his skills in singing and songwriting under the mentorship of a rising producer. It was here that he discovered and began nurturing the talent of Wendy.

Recognizing Wendy's rapid growth, Roger Kent shifted his focus to grooming her career, believing that opportunities are divinely timed and that helping others can lead to one's own blessings. He invested his resources in writing songs and creating demo videos for her. A Mowzey Radio mash-up tribute he conceived for Wendy unexpectedly went viral, further propelling her career. While the success was gratifying, his primary focus remained on Wendy's advancement.

He consistently prioritized Wendy's career over lucrative offers, understanding that a well-supported career ultimately benefits the artist. This selfless dedication eventually led to a pivotal moment when UG Records recognized his own artistic potential. After showcasing his demos, he was also signed to the label, a significant milestone he eagerly anticipates building upon.

Looking ahead, Roger Kent's ambition extends beyond his own success. He aspires to use his platform to help other talented individuals achieve their dreams and plans to establish a charity to give back to society. He aims to write more music, for himself and other artists, contributing to a richer music industry. Furthermore, he harbors an interest in acting, seeing potential for himself in cinematic roles. Roger Kent is a multifaceted artist—a writer, singer, and producer—poised to make a significant impact on the Ugandan music scene.
