Komolo Derick, professionally known as Riky Blak, is a Ugandan hip hop and afro-beat artist, dancer, and actor. Born in Bungoma, Kenya, and of Luo heritage, he was raised in Malaba, Tororo, by his mother.

Riky Blak's passion for music ignited during his high school years, where his prowess in hip hop rap battles quickly became evident. These early victories not only fueled his ambition but also inspired his peers to pursue their own musical dreams. Despite facing significant childhood challenges, Riky Blak's unwavering determination and his mother's constant encouragement propelled him forward. He recorded his debut song with renowned producer Andy Pro, driven by a profound desire to impact his community and the world through his music.
