Preston Bahati Amooti

Preston Bahati Amooti is a dedicated teacher of Kiswahili and Geography at Mandela Secondary School in Hoima, Uganda. His passion for music ignited during his secondary school years, leading him to record his first song. Though initially met with parental discouragement, Preston found solace and encouragement in church choirs, where his performances were consistently met with appreciation.

The introduction of ICT integration in the new secondary school curriculum provided a powerful catalyst for Preston to reignite his musical talents. He discovered that incorporating audio-visual elements, including his own songs, made his lessons exceptionally engaging for his students. This newfound synergy has inspired him to write and record music for his classes, focusing on topics within the lower secondary Kiswahili curriculum. Preston is eager to continue expanding his musical repertoire, aiming to produce a wealth of songs that enrich the learning experience.
