Popman Kabuga

Nahurira Amos, known as Popman Kabuga, is a Ugandan artist and songwriter celebrated for his vibrant contributions to afropop, hiphop, and dancehall music. Hailing from Kabuga, Kamwenge, Popman's musical journey began in his childhood church choir, where his impressive vocal talents were first recognized.

Despite facing financial challenges that led him to work and save for his education, Popman's passion for music never wavered. Inspired by the songs he heard on his father's radio and supported by his parents, he continued to write and sing, driven by a persistent dream. His love for music truly blossomed during his high school years.

Popman recorded his debut song at eighteen, followed by "Mpangare," a track that caught the attention of DJ Western. This led to Popman being signed to Vega Music Empire. His subsequent release, "Bring it on," achieved widespread airplay across Western and Southern Uganda, as well as neighboring countries, showcasing his multilingual lyrical ability and dominating club scenes.

"Mpangare" became a breakout hit, topping Western Ugandan airwaves and becoming a fan favorite on numerous radio stations. Popman Kabuga is dedicated to elevating Ugandan music to national and international prominence, a goal he is actively achieving.
