Pondiranking

Pondiranking, born Pondirwoth Ivan, is a dynamic Ugandan musician and songwriter hailing from Kampala. Growing up in a family of three, his passion for music ignited at a young age through church and school performances. His talent flourished during his secondary education, where he honed his songwriting and vocal abilities by crafting songs for fellow students.

His breakthrough came with a well-received cover of "Bomboclat," featuring Ykee Benda, which garnered significant attention in the West Nile region for its mature lyrical content. This release propelled Pondiranking into the spotlight.

Currently recognized as a prominent Alur (Luo) artist, Pondiranking is celebrated for his insightful lyrics and sophisticated musical style. His notable tracks, including "Temb Atemba," "Yii Kuda," and "Kudi," are rapidly gaining popularity across West Nile. Inspired by legends such as Tupac Shakur, Bob Marley, Chronixx, and Patoranking, Pondiranking channels his influences into his unique sound, a testament to his upbringing in the vibrant community of Kamwokya.
