About

O.P.U is a dynamic Hip Hop artist from Uganda. Initially drawn to pop groups, his musical path dramatically shifted after hearing Mase's "Double Up," igniting a passion for Hip Hop. He cultivated a personal collection of influential artists like Bow Wow, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G., Mase, and Puff Daddy.

His professional journey began in the studio, though his first track, "Put Yo Hands Up," faced early setbacks. Undeterred, O.P.U refined his craft, releasing "Smile of a Child" featuring Enygma and Naava Grey, which gained radio traction. He has since released several singles, including "Warrior" and "Can't Cope," and his debut mixtape, "My Genesis Mixtape." He also presented the exclusive EP "Un-Heard Music" to a select group of fans.

O.P.U is known for his commitment to delivering complete projects, with his highly anticipated mixtape "Blind Faith" and debut album "Half Street Half Corporate" on the horizon. Tracks like "Get That Money" featuring Tbro and Lethal have already previewed his evolving sound. He also released the documentary DVD "My Journey," chronicling the O.P.U brand.

He has collaborated with a notable roster of Ugandan Hip Hop talent, including Enygma, Keko, Naava Grey, and many others. O.P.U is currently managed and promoted by O*NATION in partnership with R.O.W Records.
