Off Ryine

Kalumba Ashiraf Abubakari Mudathiru, known professionally as Off Ryine, is a celebrated Ugandan musician and songwriter. He masterfully fuses Luganda and English, crafting a distinctive and compelling sound. Off Ryine's artistry shines in Afrobeat and RnB, genres that resonate deeply with audiences.

Hailing from Kiyindi, Buikwe District, and later settling in Kampala, Off Ryine, as the eldest sibling, has significantly impacted songwriting, penning popular hits for prominent Ugandan artists.

Off Ryine's educational path led him through Naguru Katale Primary School and Allied Teachers Secondary School, Nyenga, before graduating from YMCA Comprehensive Institute in Kampala.

His music, delivered in the vibrant Afrobeat style, often features lyrics in both Luganda and English. Afrobeat, or Kidandali in Luganda, originating from Uganda's central region, has empowered a new wave of musicians to create urban popular music in their native tongue.

Off Ryine's musical journey began in his school years, where he led the choir. He launched his professional career as a teenager with the release of his debut single, "Potential." This captivating love anthem, translated as "Obusobozi" in Luganda, was produced by Shaq on the Beat. Off Ryine is recognized for his inspiring and socially conscious compositions, serving as a beacon of advocacy and upliftment.
