Number One

Mayega Godfry, known as Number One, is an emerging R&B, Afro zouk, reggae, and dancehall artist from Kampala. His musical journey began in church, where he honed his skills on live instruments and as a lead singer. By his mid-teens, he was already crafting songs for older artists.

His talent caught the ear of local producer Ronnie, leading to Number One's debut single. Despite early commercial challenges, he continued to create, releasing more music with Ronnie, who was then working at Gagamel Studio. By eighteen, Number One had amassed a catalog of singles, building a solid foundation for his burgeoning career.
