Mtu Necessary

Born Gabriel Washington and raised in Kisumu city, Mtu Necessary began his musical journey with a raw passion. Initially juggling his dreams with school and facing a lack of support, he soon embraced his slogan "nitajituma" – I will push myself. This determination fueled his breakthrough single "Story," which resonated deeply with fans and garnered significant national radio airplay.

His talent was further recognized when he emerged victorious in the SHUJAAZ FM song battle, outshining artists from across Kenya. Mtu Necessary also received an award for Best Social Awareness Song of the Year at the Tecno Vybez awards. He continues to captivate audiences with his music, including his latest collaboration "KILA MTU AKO JUU KIVYAKE," featuring a diverse group of Kisumu artists.
