About

Mersy Lurv is a soulful rapper with a revivalist spirit, bringing a bright minister's voice to gospel hip-hop. Emerging from the vibrant streets of Muyenga, Uganda, his journey through challenging circumstances ignited a deep focus on music. Inspired by Maurice Kirya and Kirk Franklin, Mersy Lurv began honing his craft early, singing in church and school choirs, and mastering instruments.

He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming Entertainment President in high school and dedicating saved pocket money to recording his first song, "God Show Me The Way." Collaborations followed, including the group United 12 and solo tracks like the popular "Pray" and "Saba." His song "Spare Me" opened doors to performing alongside prominent gospel artists.

Mersy Lurv's music often tackles societal issues, with tracks like "Bya’Nsi Eno" addressing witchcraft, poverty, and poor leadership, serving as a powerful reminder of impending judgment. His breakout hit, "Banjogerako," resonated deeply, becoming a anthem of resilience against judgment and misunderstanding. Further solidifying his impact, "Yabijjawo" garnered significant radio play and led to the development of a new hip-hop worship and praise album.

Collaborations have been a cornerstone of his ministry, including "Webale" (Thank You), a testament to God's goodness, and the multi-lingual hit "P.H.D" (Pull the Heaven Down) with Zambian artist Myles Away. Mersy Lurv continues to deliver energetic, spiritual, and motivating music that inspires listeners to dance, work out, and find strength in faith.
