About

Maro, also known as the "RnB Kyabazinga," has been a prominent figure on the Ugandan music scene since 2010. His breakthrough came with the hit "Toneeraga" featuring Mickie Wine.

Signed by Westend Entertainment, Maro released his first single, "Sulabulungi," which resonated strongly with female audiences. This was followed by the Lusoga hit "Biweewo," a heartfelt song about partnership and perseverance in relationships, widely regarded as a pioneering Zouk and Lusoga fusion.

In a significant move, Maro launched Vocal Police Entertainment and released the enduring hit "Genda Ewamwe," a song that continues to be a source of success. He further solidified his presence with singles like "Musaayi" and collaborations such as "Why" with Gravity, which earned him critical acclaim. His first concert, "THE MARO LIVE CONCERT," was a landmark event, followed by a win for Best Collaboration at the Club Music Video Awards.

Maro's journey continued with inspiring tracks like "Risingstar," reflecting on his career and motivating aspiring artists. He has also been recognized with multiple "Artiste of the Year" awards at the Eastern High School Awards.

In a remarkable collaboration, Maro teamed up with David Lutalo for the chart-topping single "Mubbi Bubbi," a duet that captivated the nation. This success led to another sold-out concert, "The Kyokoba Mubbi Bubbi Concert."

Beyond his musical achievements, Maro is also an alumnus of Makerere University, holding a Bachelor's degree in Development Studies. He has continued to release impactful music, including the educational single and video "Emberazo," which has gained regional recognition.
