Yiga Peter Alexander, professionally known as Laygacy, is a dynamic Ugandan recording artist and songwriter. He captivates audiences with his versatile vocal performances in Luganda, English, and a touch of Jamaican Patois. Laygacy's musical prowess spans Afrobeats, Dancehall, Afropop, and RnB, creating a unique and infectious sound.

His musical journey began with early releases like 'Dream Chaser' and 'Bosslady.' Laygacy achieved significant recognition with his 2020 hit single 'My Town,' which dominated media waves and became a club anthem. This breakthrough led to numerous invitations for interviews on prominent local television stations, including NTV The Beat and NBS After5.

Laygacy has consistently delivered compelling music, solidifying his position as a rapidly rising star in the Ugandan music scene. He was raised in Makindye, a suburb of Kampala, by his mother alongside his siblings.
