King Short Gun, born Musisi Edward, discovered his passion for music after a detour through the construction industry. Facing financial challenges that led him to leave formal education, he honed valuable skills as a porter at Rock Construction before eventually launching his own local construction company.

His musical journey began in earnest when Okteev Studio Africa recognized his talent. Starting as a backup artist, King Short Gun soon released his debut reggae single, marking the beginning of his promising career.
