About

Jocelyne Tracey Keko, known professionally as Keko, is a Ugandan rapper who has made a significant impact on the African music scene. Her career gained momentum with the release of "Fallen Heroes," a collaboration featuring prominent Ugandan artists. Keko's sharp lyrics, distinctive delivery, and commanding presence quickly drew attention.

Her breakthrough single, "How We Do It," dominated Ugandan charts and garnered attention from MTV Africa, establishing her as a household name across East Africa. This success led to an endorsement deal with Pepsi and saw her front Mountain Dew's advertising campaign in the region.

Hailing from Tororo, Keko, the self-proclaimed queen of rap, has collaborated with a diverse range of Ugandan music elite, including Juliana, Joanita Kawalya, and Radio & Weasel, as well as Chicago-based Kerry Lee. Her critically acclaimed track "Go Green" with Angela Katatumba showcased her versatility and ability to address important themes like climate awareness, solidifying her position as a talented new artist from Africa.

Keko has graced the stage at the annual Selam Festival in Ethiopia, performing alongside international artists. Her remarkable rise also earned her an invitation to perform at the Big Brother Africa 6 Amplified show in South Africa, where she was hailed by hosts as a standout performer.

Her subsequent release, "Alwoo (Cry for Help)," resonated deeply across Africa, tackling critical issues such as domestic violence, struggle, success, and triumph. Keko has become a revelation in hip-hop, lauded for her lyrical skill, attitude, and consistent performance. Media outlets have widely recognized her as "the next big thing," with her trajectory pointing towards limitless potential.
