Jonathan UG

Jonathan UG, popularly known as DEVOICE, is a Ugandan soul singer celebrated for his exceptional vocal range. His signature melismatic style and masterful use of the high register have captivated audiences.

Jonathan's musical journey began in church as a choir leader. After a brief stint with an acapella group, he embarked on a solo career, honing his craft across soul, R&B, pop, blues, and gospel genres. He has released notable works including "The Meaning of Xmas," and has collaborated with elite records on tracks like "Teresa" and "Open Your Eyes," as well as a cover of Mariah Carey's "Vision of Love."

His commercial breakthrough came with the release of "Ndoota," followed by successful singles such as "Nkwegomba," "Romance," "Nakinga," and "Nakawunde." Jonathan continues to evolve his sound, recently releasing the Afro soul zouk classic "Nsonyi." He is currently working on a love ballad album with producer City Drumboy.

Beyond music, Jonathan UG has also made a mark in fashion, participating in Gabriel Ba Collections' highly successful show.
