Jacinta

Jacinta is a dynamic Ugandan singer specializing in Afro-Fusion, Soul, and Reggae. Her musical journey began at an early age in the Nakawa Baptist Children's choir, where her talent was nurtured. She honed her skills as a background vocalist for prominent artists including Juliana Kanyomozi, Aziz Azion, and Maurice Kirya, as well as Germany's JahCoustix.

Joining the Code 9 band marked the start of her professional career, leading to collaborations with esteemed groups like The Sundowners and Janzi Band. Today, Jacinta leads her own band, "Jacinta and Friends," performing regularly.

Her debut single, "Osobola," was released in 2015, and she is currently in the studio working on new music. Jacinta's passion extends to cultural preservation; she has collaborated with organizations like Ketebul and Singing Wells, traveling across Uganda to record and archive endangered traditional music. Her performances have also taken her across Africa, gracing stages in Nigeria, Kenya, and Rwanda.
