Jaamie Woods

Matovu Jaamie, known professionally as Jaamie Woods, began his musical journey in the suburbs of Kampala, Uganda. His passion for music was ignited by his active participation in singing and dancing competitions during high school.

After honing his craft, Jaamie Woods officially launched his music career, gaining significant recognition with the release of his hit single "Jaba." He further solidified his presence in the industry with the collaboration "She Wants Me" alongside the acclaimed singer-songwriter Geosteady.

Despite his rising success, Jaamie Woods faced a personal health challenge, requiring a hiatus from the music scene to undergo surgery for a hernia and focus on his recovery.

Upon his full recovery, Woods returned with a string of sensational tracks, including "Come to Daddy" and "Baby Sembera," demonstrating his resilience and unwavering dedication to his art.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Jaamie Woods is deeply committed to charity work and cherishes time spent with his family. He finds inspiration for his music in the diverse experiences of relationships, from marriage and divorce to the complexities of dating, transforming these lessons into relatable songs.

Jaamie Woods is currently in the studio, diligently creating more compelling music and continuing to make his mark on the industry.
