iCON Legacy

iCON Legacy, born Katamba Emmanuel, is a Ugandan Hip Hop and Dancehall Reggae artist. Known also as "The Big Panther" or "Principal" by close friends, the latter stemming from his leadership within the iL Gang, he is a rising force in Uganda's music scene.

Growing up in Kabowa/Najjanankumbi and later Kajjansi/Kitende, iCON Legacy's early life experiences with his mother, Katamba Christine Kanayega, fueled his determination to succeed as an artist. While shy offstage, he transforms into a captivating performer, delivering electrifying shows.

His musical journey began at a young age in church choirs, where he also learned to play the piano and guitar. He honed his songwriting skills during secondary school, with a particular passion for Hip Hop and Dancehall Reggae. iCON Legacy began recording after completing his secondary education, releasing his debut singles "Koona" and "Bigu."
