Hany B

Hany B is a singer and songwriter whose journey began in Lubaga before moving to South Africa at eighteen. She honed her craft in the United States, contributing her songwriting and backup vocals to Rocafella artists like Freeway. Returning to Uganda, Hany B shifted her focus from investment banking to her own music.

Her collaboration with "3BZ" ENTERTAINMENT quickly yielded radio success. The 2005 single "Sigabana," featured on Don Corleon’s Seasons Riddim, became a massive breakthrough, topping charts in Uganda and the UK. Its music video dominated MTV Tempo’s Cross Caribbean Countdown and became a landmark release on E-Strip.

Hany B has since released a string of popular tracks, including "Mpungu" and "Kabiriti," with a music video directed by acclaimed South African directors. Her music is in rotation globally, with singles like "Gudi Gudi," "Kalimi Kasawa," "Maama," "Winer," and "Love Sound" resonating with audiences.

Her electrifying performances include multiple appearances at Jamaica's Reggae Sumfest and numerous international shows across the Caribbean and the United States. Beyond music, Hany B is a passionate advocate for HIV and safe sex awareness in Ugandan high schools. She has also ventured into acting, earning critical acclaim for her role in "Glass Slippaz" and a pilot for a new soap opera.
