Genious Drey

Genious Drey, born Angatu Edward in Uganda, is a driving force behind the contemporary dancehall movement. With a passion for music ignited early, he honed his skills in sound engineering in South Africa. Since 2014, Genious Drey has been a significant presence in the music scene. His breakthrough hit, "Nes Ore," a captivating Afro Fusion track, earned him the "Best Eastern Song/Artist of the Year" award.

His 2017 album, "Akwatat," featured chart-topping hits across Uganda, including "#Edeke Ejeni," "Delete," "Signal Number," and "Miss Party." This success led to multiple award nominations. In recognition of his exceptional talent, he was honored with the "Best Male Artist of the Year" award at the Teso Music Awards.

Beyond his musical prowess as a singer and composer, Genious Drey is a multi-talented individual, also excelling as a producer, radio personality, and farmer. His friends affectionately call him "Genious" for his diverse abilities.
