Generale Czarbu

Joshua Rukundo, known as Generale Czar'bu (pronounced 'Zaabu', meaning Gold), is a multifaceted artist deeply rooted in reggae. A gifted songwriter, instrumentalist, model, actor, and Pan-African Rasta, his musical journey began early, showing proficiency on multiple instruments by age eight.

He joined the Bloodbrothers reggae band, becoming their lead vocalist and guitarist, a role he continues to hold with the esteemed Ugandan group. His talent later gained national attention as a Top 5 finalist in the Coca-Cola Rated Next singing competition, drawing comparisons to the Morgan Heritage family.

Generale Czar'bu also served as Maddox Sematimba's official backup and percussionist, receiving crucial mentorship to embark on his solo career. His debut album, #VeryDifferent, showcases a vibrant blend of reggae, dancehall, and other genres, infused with conscious and loving lyrics. With a prolific songwriting catalog and his own live band, "The Living Gong," Generale Czar'bu is a dynamic force in music.
