General Kayaman, born Engoru Simon, is a prominent ragga musician and audio producer hailing from Uganda. He launched his career in Soroti, releasing his debut album "Irena" which was acquired by Kabari Music Store. With a discography boasting over ten albums, General Kayaman is a prolific artist. He leads Kaya Base Entertainment Crew and owns Kaya Records Studio and Record Label. Widely recognized as the foremost Kumam musician, he is also signed with Divine Bookings Agency International.

Born in Kaberamaido District and raised in Soroti, General Kayaman comes from a large, extended family. He is the second-born of his mother, Agwero Jane, and his father, Mr. Engoru Moses Piston. General Kayaman is also the twin brother of one of his mother's ten children. His educational journey included Pioneer Primary School, Soroti Central Secondary School, Light Secondary School, and Kampala School of Music.
