Ganda Boys

The Ganda Boys emerged from an electrifying collaboration on the acclaimed BBC-TV drama series *Moses Jones*. The soundtrack, nominated for a British Academy Award, was helmed by Ganda Boys founder Craig Pruess, who featured four of the band's songs within the series. It was during the writing sessions for *Moses Jones* that Craig first met Denis Muggaga and Daniel Sewagudde, sparking an immediate and powerful creative connection.

This synergy led to the formation of the Ganda Boys, whose debut album, *The War of Love*, was completed in just six months, showcasing an international and professional sound. Their second album, *Africa*, followed swiftly, enriching their vibrant African fusion with orchestral arrangements. Both albums are celebrated for their colorful and emotional depth, with Michael Kiwanuka noting that the strings on *Africa* elevated the music to a new level. Their third album, *Mountains of the Moon*, is currently in production.

While deeply rooted in Ugandan origins, the Ganda Boys' music embodies a "United Africa" spirit, characterized by high-quality live band production and a rich recorded sound. Their music often evokes a cinematic quality, touching listeners with poignant stories of separation and struggle from across the continent. Denis and Dan, formerly of the popular Ugandan group DaTwinz, lend their dynamic and soulful vocals, perfectly complementing Craig Pruess's expansive sound vision. Craig, an American composer and producer based in the UK, brings his expertise in film scoring, world fusion, and multi-instrumentalism to the band.

The Ganda Boys possess a captivating and infectious energy, crafting songs that resonate directly with the heart. Beyond their music, they established the Ganda Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to raising awareness of poverty and suffering worldwide, believing in music's power to inform, galvanize, and inspire.
