GagamaGoo Kinene

Gagamagoo Kinene, also known as Kinene Michael Bernard, is an artist whose journey began in Nansana, Wakiso district, Uganda. Growing up in a challenging environment, he found solace and expression in rap music from a young age. His passion for lyricism blossomed as he drew inspiration from English Language and Literature books, weaving new words and stories into his rhymes.

His talent gained recognition during his O-level studies at Irma Pfeifer, Bweeya High School. Later, at Lubiri Secondary School for A-level, he adopted the moniker "GAGAMAGOO," an acronym for "Gospel Accurately Giving Answers Maximally as GOD Overcomes Oppression." This name, inspired by a family anecdote, reflects his artistic and spiritual convictions.

A pivotal moment came when he joined the school choir, offering his unique rap skills to a competition. His contribution significantly enhanced their performance, leading to a choir victory and a studio recording session. This experience paved the way for his professional recording debut, collaborating with fellow artist Swaib Kaweesa at Crystal Revolution Studios. Gagamagoo Kinene has since been recognized with nominations at the VIGA Gospel awards for his rap and hip-hop contributions.
