FR.GERALD MUKWAYA

Father Gerald Mukwaya is a dedicated clergyman with a rich history of service. He has served as a parish priest in Bukulula, Butende, and Narozari parishes. His experience extends beyond pastoral duties, having trained in brick-making in Germany and managed the Butende Brick Works.

Furthering his ministry, Father Mukwaya pursued studies in liturgy and youth engagement at Melbourne University in Australia. He has held significant roles as a Diocesan Youth Chaplain and later as a National Youth Chaplain. He also served as parish priest in Ssaza parish and as Diocesan Laity Chaplain. Currently, he is stationed at Mbiriizi Parish.

Beyond his priestly responsibilities, Father Mukwaya is a talented poet and composer of church songs. He is also an active trainer, involved with Scouts and Guides, and shares the Word of God as a teacher on Radio Sapientia.
