Evelyn Lagu is a celebrated singer and movie actress. Born Evelyn Nakabira in Kalungu, Masaka, she faced early loss, losing both parents as a child. Raised by her aunt and uncle in Mityana, she pursued her education before embarking on her artistic career.

Recognized as a standout talent on the local scene, Evelyn Lagu has graced stages with bands like Mustard and Flash. She has also lent her voice as a backup vocalist for esteemed artists including Carol Nakimera, Halima Namakula, Ragga Dee, Makoma, and Zambia's Mampi.
