Dully Sykes

Dully Sykes, also known as Mr Misifa or Mr Chicks, is a pioneering Bongo Flava and dancehall artist from Tanzania. Following in the footsteps of his father, Ebby Sykes, Dully is celebrated for his contributions to Swahili dancehall in East Africa. He has delivered numerous hit songs, including 'Julieta,' 'Salome,' and 'Historia ya Kweli,' with many of his tracks drawing inspiration from real-life experiences.

His debut album, 'Historia ya Kweli,' launched his signature sound, earning him the moniker 'Mwanasesele.' With the release of 'Handsome,' Dully solidified his status as a major force in Tanzania's urban music scene. His subsequent albums showcased his versatility, blending diverse musical styles while maintaining his distinct African vocal identity.

Beyond his performance career, Dully is a talented producer and songwriter, heading his own record label, Dhahabu Records. He has also lent his hooks to many other artists. His music has been featured on international compilations, including "Roots reggae and dancehall."

Dully Sykes is no stranger to the spotlight, often finding himself at the center of media attention and public discussion.
