Doug Fur

Doug-Fur is an African rapper, entrepreneur, and structural engineer. He is known for his unwavering authenticity in his lyrics and lifestyle, a journey that has seen him embrace African spirituality, Rastafarianism, stoicism, and humanism.

His early exposure to country, gospel, and R&B music evolved into a passion for hip-hop after hearing DMX's "X Gon' Give It To Ya" and Eminem's "Lose Yourself." These influences ignited his creativity, leading him to writing, poetry, and rapping. He formed the "South Coast Group" with classmates, and his first recorded feature came during school holidays.

Following the group's dispersal, Doug-Fur co-founded "dougentate" with his associate DJ Vyrus, operating under the banner of "Lyrical Ministry."

Doug-Fur's debut single, "KIVVE," was released, followed by a period of intense focus on his civil engineering studies and career. He returned to music with his debut studio album, "THE AWAKENING," a genre-blending project that embodies Lyrical Ministry. Currently, Doug-Fur and DJ Vyrus are collaborating on new albums, EPs, and singles with various artists.
