D Cargo

Atem Manyuon Akuein, professionally known as D CARGO, is a South Sudanese dancehall singer, songwriter, and rapper. He is also an Electrical Engineer currently completing his Bachelor of Science at Makerere University in Uganda.

With a Kakwa mother and Dinka father, D CARGO embraces his multi-ethnic heritage, believing it allows him to connect with diverse cultures. He discovered his passion for songwriting and rapping during his secondary school years, further honing his musical talents in high school. Inspired by Jamaican artists, he transitioned to dancehall music.

D CARGO released his debut single, "She is the Girl," followed by a collaboration, "Came to Win," which achieved chart success. He continued to release a string of popular songs, including "Get Rocking," "Get Up Whine," and "Bad Man." His collaborations, such as "Touch Down" and "No Cloth," also gained significant traction.

Recently, D CARGO has teamed up with Trizzy of the RMG music group for new releases like "Halleluya" and "If I Didn't." Based in Kampala for his studies, D CARGO has been a member of the RMG music crew since 2016, alongside other talented artists.
