Charmant Mushaga

Charmant Mushaga’s musical journey began in a small village in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He discovered his passion for music, teaching himself to sing and play guitar by watching and listening. His early performances took place in a church, laying the foundation for his artistic path.

Forced to flee his homeland due to conflict, Charmant found refuge in Uganda, which has since become his home. It was in Uganda that his talent was recognized by the Watoto Church, leading to an opportunity to compose music for their children's choir.

Driven by a desire to share his music widely, Charmant dedicated himself to his craft, eventually showcasing his exceptional guitar skills on international stages. He has collaborated with renowned artists such as Hugh Masekela and Isaiah Katumwa, and has been a key contributor to the studio recordings of prominent Ugandan musicians, including Eddy Kenzo, Bebe Cool, and Bobi Wine.

Charmant Mushaga is a testament to resilience and the power of music to transcend borders. Uganda is where he found his true calling as an artist, and he expresses gratitude for the opportunities and support he has received throughout his career.
