Brotherz Muzik

Brotherz Muzik is the dynamic duo of blood brothers Gérard and Gaston Chishugi, hailing from Goma, DRCongo. Their passion for music ignited early, inspired by their father, a prominent choir leader and youth organizer in Goma. He often took them to witness performances by various musical acts, solidifying their love for the art form.

Initially joining a church choir during primary school, their musical journey evolved in secondary school. With less time for choir practice, they began performing as a duo, calling themselves "Les Deux Frères" (The Two Brothers). Their talent quickly gained recognition, leading to invitations for performances at different schools, marking the serious beginnings of their music career.

Family circumstances led them to relocate from the DRCongo to Uganda. Navigating a new environment and culture, from a French-speaking to an English-speaking country, presented a fresh start. Rebranded as "The Brotherz" within the Ujamaa Family Music band, they found their footing. While Ujamaa Family later moved to Kenya, Gérard and Gaston chose to remain in Uganda, a country they grew to love deeply. This led to the launch of their solo career as Brotherz Muzik, with their debut song "WANJUA."
