Beckie Johnz

Singer-songwriter Beckie Johnz, a beacon of talent, beauty, and modesty, found her voice amidst a journey that spanned continents. Growing up in a devout Christian household, her early involvement in church choirs ignited a passion for music, even as childhood shyness and a lack of family support presented hurdles. Inspired by legends like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Alicia Keys, Johnz found solace and expression in music, transforming personal insecurities and bullying into powerful therapeutic art.

Despite facing familial disapproval and studying music in secret, Johnz honed her vocal skills through dedicated coaching. Her path led to collaborations with producer Marvelous and the duo Mavelous B, resulting in impressive demo recordings and mixtapes. After a hiatus due to personal challenges, Johnz rediscovered her purpose, driven by a desire to uplift and pave the way for aspiring South Sudanese female artists in a male-dominated industry. Now based in Melbourne, Beckie Johnz has released her debut EP, "Just the Beginning," and her first music video, available on all major platforms.
