Ankore Boy

Nicholas Tugume, known as Ankore Boy, is a musician from Rukungiri, Western Uganda. What began as a way to stay productive and happy during challenging times blossomed into a passion for creating music. Inspired by local artist RasM, Ankore Boy released his first song, "Neiwe Wenka," a sweet love track that quickly gained traction and introduced him to the Western Ugandan music scene. His subsequent hit, "Okantera," with Meek D, became a regional radio favorite. Ankore Boy's growing catalog includes tracks like "Omutima," "Singing for My Bae," "I Love You," "Nakweeta," "Nkwatako," and "Ori Kabaka." Each song weaves together his personal experiences with the rich culture of Western Uganda. Ankore Boy's music offers a journey from lockdown introspection to vibrant expression, inviting listeners to connect with universal themes of joy, hardship, and dreams through relatable melodies and stories.
