About
Ambassada stands as a testament to global impact, having been featured alongside international icons like Black Mambazo, P. Diddy, Bono, and Youssou N'Dour in a worldwide call to action against poverty.
His career gained significant momentum with the release of his 10-track album “Natamani,” a collaboration with East and Central Africa's leading distribution label, Sound Africa. This album produced enduring hits such as "Natamani," "Watoto Inkane," "Yahweh," and "Ebyensi."
Ambassada's breakthrough came with the immensely popular single "Watoto Inkane," a powerful anthem for children's rights. Its accompanying music video, filmed at Nyumbani Children’s Home, remains a staple on African television. This success cemented his status as a prominent voice in the African music landscape.
He achieved widespread recognition, earning 13 nominations across Africa and becoming the first Ugandan artist to win at the prestigious KISIMA AWARDS in the Best East African Video category. His 13-track album “Yaka” (shine) further showcased his artistic growth, featuring popular tracks like "Sio," "Warunva," and "Anyina," which were also included in "East African Essential Hits." "Yaka" propelled him to new heights, both vocally and artistically, establishing him as one of East Africa's youngest, best-selling, and most accomplished artists.
Ambassada then took a hiatus to focus on his education and humanitarian endeavors. He collaborated with former Kenyan President H.E. Mwai Kibaki and the First Lady, headlining the Action Aid "Get On Board" AIDS Eradication Campaign in Kenya. Subsequently, Oxfam Kenya enlisted him as a headline artist for their G8 poverty eradication campaign in East Africa.
In partnership with Ashleys and Miss Kenya, Ambassada and his organization, Inkanetwork (now Ambassada Foundation), dedicated themselves to charitable work, distributing aid in Nairobi's slums and children's homes. He also contributed to the "Drug Free Kenya" campaign with NACADA and the child rights campaign in Kenya and Uganda with AMPCANN Kenyan Chapter.
Following a significant interview with Reuters, UNICEF recognized his advocacy and invited him to become a UN Ambassador. This honor was a natural extension of his impactful "Watoto Inkane" hit, a song that championed child rights and was adopted by BBC Kenya as the theme song for World Children’s Day, aligning with his extensive charity work with children's homes and NGOs.
As a skilled artist and music producer, Ambassada was commissioned to create the theme song for Stanbic Bank Uganda and the anthem for Lions Club Uganda.
He made a triumphant return to the music scene, relocating to Nairobi, Kenya. His recent releases include acclaimed tracks like "Ayaya" featuring Danie, "Take Me," and "Nitakuinua" with Saint Stevoh. His latest release, the thought-provoking "Kani (Kanisa)," offers a contemporary rendition addressing issues within the 21st-century church.
Ambassada is also embarking on international collaborations, beginning with "ON MY MIND" featuring Jamaican artist JPROJEK. This project premiered with a listening party, coinciding with his birthday celebration, the launch of his new website, and the unveiling of new humanitarian initiatives through the Ambassada Foundation.
He is back with his new mainstream hit song #Dance, poised to captivate both his established and new fanbase with its infectious rhythm.
