AlfaAlfa Music

Alfa-Alfa Music is an East African group, originally from Uganda and currently based in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The group is widely recognized for its debut album, *Rozpryagayte Hloptsi konnie*. The core members are Michael Bawakana and Becky Adong, supported by a team of dancers and backup singers.

Alfa-Alfa initially formed as a four-member hip-hop act, but internal conflicts led to its dissolution. Dedicated to his musical vision, Michael Bawakana relaunched the project, shifting the musical direction to pop and incorporating the talents of Becky Adong.

In 2006, Alfa-Alfa released their first album, *Rozpryagayte Hloptsi konnie*, with the help of Freestyle Artwork and Moon-Records. The group has since expanded its repertoire, recording tracks that blend disco, R&B, Reggae, Soca, Dancehall, and African lounge styles.

The group’s live performances are dynamic, often presented in four distinct blocks: danceable Ukrainian folk songs (in traditional costumes), an African block (featuring folk dances and drums), expressive 80s-style disco-pop, and R&B/Reggae sets. Alfa-Alfa has released three official music videos: "Rozpryagayte Hloptsi konnie," "Solnishka," and "Aborigeni." The group is currently preparing to release their upcoming album, *Aborigeni*, which will feature over 15 songs.
