AFRIKANE

AfriKane is a Ugandan rapper and songwriter whose journey has taken him from Kampala to Norway. Initially moving to Norway for his studies and a better life, his passion for music quickly resurfaced. He began by performing at open mics and small shows, often rapping over the tracks of his idol, The Notorious B.I.G.

His original material soon captivated audiences, leading to frequent performances at Oslo's Open Expressions stage. There, he became a fixture, collaborating with the house band and ultimately solidifying his identity as AfriKane.

AfriKane's unique sound blends rap with R&B influences, creating relatable narratives that resonate beyond traditional hip-hop fans. This innovative approach is shaping the rap landscape in new ways.

His musical journey began over a decade ago in Uganda, where he led the rap group Dirty Green. After a period of artistic growth and reflection, AfriKane is now poised for his next chapter, currently in the studio working on his debut single. He credits early mentors, his dedicated promoter, and the unwavering support of his family and growing fanbase for his progress. AfriKane is also gaining recognition in Norway, having been invited to speak at the Oslo World Music Festival and serving as an ambassador for the Iam Unique Youth Focus organization.
