A One

Born on September 9, 1993, in the Mukono District of Uganda, A One is a recording artist whose musical foundations were built on the gospel influences of his late mother, Nakalema Gladys, and the works of legendary artist Ronald Mayinja. Although he spent much of his youth playing soccer in Kirowooza village, his focus shifted toward a professional music career in 2009 while attending St. John’s SS.

During his secondary education, A One co-founded the Better Future Crew alongside collaborators Mike Dicks and MC Khoffla. He gained early performance experience as a backup singer, quickly becoming a recognized talent within his school community. He began songwriting in 2010, and despite facing discouragement from an early producer during the recording of his first song, "Lwaki," he remained committed to his craft.

In 2016, A One established his own imprint, Better Ones Entertainment. He subsequently released the single "Hotter Than Fire," produced by Prof. Elly at L-Records. The track received significant acclaim in clubs and venues throughout Mukono, establishing him as a rising name in the local scene. In April 2018, with the support of his father, Lule Joshua Kafeero, A One released the official music video for "Hotter Than Fire," produced by Royal Films Production, marking a significant milestone in his professional trajectory.
