If you think you can jump, then you’ve probably never been to Karamoja. In
this region, both men and women have mastered the art of jumping so high. The Naleyo dance, a wooing dance performed by men and women in two lines
facing each other and jumping as high as possible is performed during the
harvest season and used as a means for young men and women to find love. This dance is a spectacle to watch and the various Karamojong tribes will
be showcasing their skills at this year’s Karamoja Cultural Festival. Come and witness a tradition that has been preserved and passed down for
generations. Grab some Kjong shoes and join in because it’s going to be fun!!
